Keep yourself organized by knowing your logins and passwords with these tips
Virtual assistants are usually organizational gurus! There are many organizational tips we can share to assist in calming the chaos running in your life.
Password management is a source of frustration for many, many people. How many times have you sat down to log in to a website and couldn’t remember your username and password? Or, do you always remember them because they are the same for everything??
Neither of these are good! If you use the same username and password for everything, when you get hacked (and it’s not if but when) the hacker will have access to everything! Not remembering is just as bad!
How to solve the dilemma? There are several solutions, but you have to commit to utilize one in order to solve the problem!
Ewallet (http://www.iliumsoft.com/ewallet) – This solution comes with a small one-time fee (about $10). It stores usernames and passwords, but can also store credit card information (account numbers, etc.), warranty information on purchases, bank account information, etc. It is ultra-organized, and if you don’t want to be ultra-organized, this one might not be for you.
LastPass (https://www.lastpass.com/) – This solution is free! It is easy to use and also fills in forms. It can be used on all your devices. Remember a master password, and the rest is in the LastPass vault. There are many ways to add your sites; LastPass saves sites as you login, it imports sites from your email account, and will import/upload from another password manager.
There are more password managers for you to discover. PCMag.com has a great article that compares ten additional password programs – http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2407168,00.asp. There is one for everyone; you just have to find the one that will work best for you!
